Event Details
Please read through the following information, as it contains important practical details about the day and the ceremony.
- Time: 10 am – 6/7 pm (approx.)
- Location: Braziers Park, Ipsden, OX10 6AN, South Oxfordshire
- Parking: Parking details will be confirmed closer to the event, as we coordinate with other events taking place at Braziers Park.

The Day’s Schedule
- Meet and greet
- Community circle and fire ceremony
- Two hours of space for activities while the sweat lodge rocks are heated on the fire
- Sweat lodge ceremony
- Closing Pipe ceremony
- Food sharing
What to Bring
- Waterproof clothing if it is raining; sunhat if it is sunny.
- Comfortable, appropriate footwear (there is a short walk across often wet fields).
- Warm clothes.
- Two towels.
- Suggested Appropriate Clothing for inside the lodge for both men and women: Loose cotton clothing: trousers, sarong, shorts, T-shirt, vests. By “appropriate” we mean: no budgie smugglers, thongs, G-strings or bikinis.
- Tobacco (optional).
- Gifts for 2 x fire keepers (optional).
- Drums or rattles (if you wish to bring them).
- Offering to the spirit of the bears (optional: salmon and/or berries).
- Any personal items you would like blessed on the altar (optional).
- Food to share for the communal feast - Homemade hot or cold dish, or bought items if short on time.
- Personal plate, cutlery, and cup – IMPORTANT!
- Water will be provided, but please bring your own bottle for refilling.
- Snacks for the day (as we will not officially eat until the evening).
Tea and coffee will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE
It is a requirement to abstain from alcohol and recreational drugs for a minimum of four days before the ceremony, this is to keep energetic and physical pathways clear.
